Ideal, a highly skilled general contracting company based in Vaughan, Ontario, was looking for a clean, modern, and polished identity to match their craftsmanship. The brief called for a clean, streamlined logo with a representative graphic to encompass general contracting and interior design, without an obvious “construction” element.
The identity hinged on the builder’s square or right-angle to bring together the foundations of both construction and design. The right angle would be used as part of a system, used in various orientations depending on the application. Typography included clean, light type paired with a delicate serif font to represent modern finishings built on top of known and classic building techniques.
